Renovations at Chateau de Prunty

We were so lucky to have our parents come and help us set up our new pad. We painted the whole house on Saturday and cleaned the place on Sunday. Here is a video so you can see it!

Goodbye 'The Elswick', Hello 'Bligh Terrace'

We settled on Friday and began painting our new house yesterday. We had a helping hand from our parents, and good ol' Jano. We actually painted the entire house in one day! Today was spent cleaning and gardening, and thanks to Mike The Gardener, we have salvaged roses, a frangipani tree, tahitian lime plant and hopefully some orchids from the dying garden that previously existed.

Sadly we wave goodbye to our home of the last 2.5 years in sunny Leichhardt:

Here is a picture of our new block in Camperdown:

And the entry way to our place, townhouse number 6:

We're really excited to have lots of rooms to do lots of entertaining, our wedding presents arrive this week (c/o Mum and my brother Chris) so we'll FINALLY get to open and use them!

I tried uploading a video, but due to technical difficulties, and me still being new to blogging, it has not happened yet.

Our last week in Leichhardt

Hi Friends (do we even have any friends on this yet?! You should check our my aunt's blog for her bloomin' dogs and you'll see what I mean).

Well, it's the Pruntys' last week in Leichhardt. No more strolling down Norton St, buying Gelato and saying Ciao to the passers by. Not that we ever did that. We should have, I will speak to Chris about doing that this weekend.

I'm writing this blog under duress from Emma, my new sister-in-law, because I have thousands of things to do (yet I am still procrastinating by watching episodes of Ed...remember that TV show about the lawyer who owns a bowling alley in Stuckeyville??), but I know she is hanging out to see images of the move, so I am posting a couple of pictures up. Our little apartment is so small, I can't pack because the boxes take up too much space! See:

This weekend will be our big Painting Beeee - thanks to our parents and Jano for coming to help us paint our new house.
I sound like such a sentimental suck, reading that back, so here is something that is more me: Yesterday, I was on the phone to the carpet cleaning service trying to organise for our carpet to be steam cleaned. The lady asked me to spell my surname. As I am so used to spelling Sponiar, I started to launch into S for Sam, P for Peter, then stopped realising this is no longer my name. It was so confusing that I ended up saying, "Prunty. P for.....um...Poo".
